3 Ways to Style a Crop Top with Belly
1. Layer with a Sexy Mesh Shirt
If you’re not quite ready for your fat crop top moment, try a mesh shirt! This works best with tops that are sleeveless. Pop a mesh shirt over your top for a little more coverage while still maintaining a fun, translucent appearance.
You can find sheer mesh shirts online! I have this plain mesh tee and this geometric mesh tee from Torrid, but I love these options below too! All great ways to wear a crop top with belly fat.
2. Tie a Shirt Around Your Waist for Flexible Coverage
Does this sound familiar? You get dressed in your crop top and feel amazing…but as soon as you step outside your house, you feel SO self conscious! This happens to me a lot when I’m wearing something new. If this sounds like you, having an adjustable shirt tied around your waist is perfect!
Tie a denim or flannel shirt around your waist and adjust to where you feel comfortable. This might mean showing a little skin or none at all! And if you feel a bit braver at some point, you can show off more of your belly.
My fave button ups are from Torrid, Old Navy, and LL Bean! Use the links below to shop.
3. Wear an Open Button Up for a Casual Look
This is one of my favorite ways for how to wear a crop top with belly fat, especially in the spring a summer! Nothing says cool and casual like a breezy button up. If you feel self conscious about your back rolls, try wearing a light-weight short-sleeve button up over your crop top!
I love the short sleeve button ups from Madewell and Torrid, like these!
