Looking for plus size fitness motivation? In this post I’ll share the best body positive apps and programs to help you exercise with confidence.
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of watching workout videos from people that don’t look like me! I can’t do half the things they can: my belly or butt is always in the way. And no one offers alternative moves to accomodate my body! If you’ve experienced this before, you might think that you don’t belong in these fitness spaces. But YOU DO!
You deserve plus size exercises that were made with your body in mind. In this post, I’ll share the best plus size fitness programs that I’ve found (and tried!) online. These are all programs that you can use as your plus size workout routine at home!
After reading this post, you’ll know which program is right for you and start doing workouts made for your body! If you’re want to move your body out of love, not hate, but you’re struggling with guilt and shame, check out my ebook and audiobook Weightless: How to Lose the Guilt and Heal Your Relationship with Movement.

I turn to NoBS Active when I have low executive function or low energy and want a quick and go-at-your-own-pace workout.

Joyn
Joyn used to be a free online platform of movement and wellness videos made for and by fat babes…until its funding was cut. Thankfully, the videos were uploaded to YouTube where they remain free with ads, of course. But don’t let that deter you from this super accessible resource!
On the Joyn Youtube page, you can find everything from: plus size strength training programs, yoga, dancing, meditation, and more! It’s the most expansive library you’ll find and I love that there is a video you can do every single day, however you feel in your body and brain.
If you’re looking for somewhere to get started, I recommend Kanoa Greene’s series Focused Power that combines HIIT and strength training for all levels. Kanoa is also an excellent trainer and offers encouraging and lovely commentary, even sharing when she is struggling with moves too!
Cost: Free
What it is: A YouTube channel of free videos from plus size trainers covering expansive movement types and for all levels.
Who it’s for: Budget babe who is dedicated to full-body wellness and doesn’t mind watching some ads.
What you need: Varies from video to video
Fullbeing Yoga
Long ago when searching for plus size fitness classes near me, I found Dana Falsetti. Dana looked just like me and had a pay-what-you-can platform of yoga videos. When I first watched their videos, I was stunned: someone with MY body was actually talking about how to move our bums and our bellies to make yoga more comfortable. My mind was blown!
Since then, Dana’s videos have relocated to their new platform, Fullbeing. With a similar model and access to all of Dana’s videos, this platform provides a space for yoga instructors and students of all sizes, genders, and sexual orientations. If you’ve ever found yourself feeling inadequate or too big in a yoga class, Fullbeing will heal your soul and strengthen your core!

What it is: An online accessible yoga platform prioritizing fat, trans, and queer community.
Who it’s for: Babe who wants to build a yoga practice without all the body shame and exclusion
What you need: Yoga mat, bolster, yoga blocks, blanket
